HomeAsiaSoutheast AsiaSingapore 28 Photos That Show Why I Love to Travel in Singapore By Marcos Detourista on August 14, 2014. A collection of my best photo moments in Singapore. View captures of Singapore’s best attractions and highlights. Considering my love for off-beat and cheap destinations, it’s a bit odd that Singapore turned out to be one my most visited international destination so far. Every time I step foot at Singapore’s Changi Airport, I can’t help but ask myself why I keep coming back. The foremost reason was Singapore’s easy accessibility. It’s (physically) one of the closest international destinations from the Philippines and has direct flights from many major airports (Manila, Clark, Cebu, Kalibo, and Iloilo). On the majority of my trips to Singapore, I traveled in a group, mostly with my family. Singapore was a safe choice because of its reputation as an excellent family-friendly destination. It offered many attractions worth visiting for a wide-variety of people, and not to mention how much easier it was to travel within this island city-state compared to the chaotic settings in other popular urban destinations in Asia. I like watching TV shows about urban planning and architectural marvels, so even just thinking about visiting an “advanced” city like Singapore already gets me excited from the get go. It’s a utopia for urban junkies. Singapore’s touristic attractions are also worth visiting because they fused other things that I love like nature and sustainable developments. There is a wide variety of world-class zoos and marine parks that could keep animal lovers busy for days. The city also has many unique attractions that have become world icons like Gardens by the Bay and the Esplanade building. Singapore’s premiere theme park, Universal Studios, is also a fun destination that people of all ages could enjoy. Visiting many of these themed attractions can be expensive. Fortunately, Singapore has preserved its cultural heritage well, so its possible to enjoy cheap thrills like going on photo walks or food trips in cultural districts like Kampong Glam, Chinatown, Little India, . Here is a collection that highlights some of my best photo moments in Singapore: Mesmerizing Kinetic Rain sculpture at Changi Airport – Terminal 1. I hope you can also post more about the different cultures within Singapore (Chinatown and Little India) or the things you can do on the East side such as biking and water ski. I really love you website, it inspires me to pack my own journey. travelling_bk Reply Marcos Detourist says August 15, 2014 at 11:00 am Me too. It’s hot and humid in Singapore but there are air-conditioned spaces everywhere, so it’s tolerable. I’m definitely posting more about different things I’ve experienced in Singapore, there’s a lot more I haven’t blogged about. Like cycling in Pulau Ubin and taking photo walks around the city. Thanks travellingbk! Reply Jun says August 15, 2014 at 4:30 pm Hi Sir, Can you post an details itinerary for singapore trip? Reply Marcos Detourist says August 24, 2014 at 11:40 am Sure Jun.
