In Hong Kong from my first trip abroad 10 years ago. I'm riding the waves of emotions, now that I'm on my way back, at around the same time of the year.

I can't help but look back at that guy just starting out, making his plans a reality.
You often read the quote, "Somewhere there is a past you overflowing with so much pride looking at how far you've come." The past is already gone. No one can really know for sure.

What I do know right now is that I'm overflowing with so much pride for that guy who followed his own path 10 years ago.

Sometimes you lose sight of where you're going. That's okay. The path is not always a straight road. Sometimes it simply takes time. Stay on the path. You're exactly where you're supposed to be. Don't forget to enjoy the view & people along the way. Be thankful for what you have, celebrate the small victories & allow yourself to make mistakes.

Go at your own pace. There might only be three months left before this decade ends, but the road is long & filled with opportunity at every turn.

Do you love old towns? Found this cute place in Japan! Feels like I stepped through a portal to the past ♥️ This is Sawara in Katori, Chiba prefecture. Here, you can find traditional houses lined along the charming canal. If you have a long layover at Tokyo-Narita Airport, this is one place you should definitely check out! It's also the perfect daytrip from Tokyo.

Happy to see Mount Fuji again, on my second trip to Japan! This time, I enjoyed a view from Mishima Skywalk, Japan's longest pedestrian suspension bridge. You can reach the skywalk by bus from Hakone or from Mishima train station.

Where to go near Tokyo? Found myself in Kamakura, a seaside city filled with dozens of Buddhist Zen temples, like this one featuring the "GREAT BUDDHA" ... Kamakura has a sort of Kyoto vibe because of all the beautiful temples. Train travel from Tokyo only takes 1 hour.
