I’ve been traveling to Baguio for over 20 years, either to explore its scenic attractions or as a gateway to other Cordillera destinations like Mountain Province (Sagada), Ifugao (Banaue), and Benguet (Mount Pulag, La Trinidad, Northern Blossom Flower Farm).

During my recent trip with DMCI Homes Leisure Residences, I had the pleasure of visiting many travel-worthy spots in Tuba, Benguet. It was my first time truly exploring Tuba, known as the gateway to Baguio and Benguet Province. It’s the first town you pass through if you’re coming from Manila or La Union (TPLEX) via Marcos Highway or Kennon Road. Often overshadowed by nearby Baguio, Tuba offers a wealth of attractions and experiences that many visitors miss out on. In this guide, I’ll share with you the beautiful spots you should consider adding to your bucket list for your next trip to Benguet and the Cordilleras.

As the wanderlust quote goes, every journey has hidden destinations that the traveler is unaware of. On our recent trip, we discovered one such hidden gem: the Tadiangan Strawberry Farms.

After following the road past Bencab Museum (about 260 meters down Asin Road) and an easy 15-minute hike from an unassuming trailhead, we arrived at a mountainside backyard farm that grows strawberries, zucchini, and other crops. Unlike the often crowded Strawberry Farms of La Trinidad, the hidden strawberry farms in Tuba remain uncommercialized. You can enjoy strawberry picking with a scenic view of pine trees, overlooking the lowlands and the sea.

We tried the 30-minute guided ATV loop. As a beginner, I was thrilled with the experience since it was my first time to try a course with challenging drop-offs/inclines, cliffside trails and forest paths. For a more relaxed experience, there’s a nice lookout at Pan-Ayayaman with a scenic view overlooking the valley and Hobbiton-inspired accommodations (under construction).
